With moderate speed stationed each side, newcomer FANTASTIC DIXIE (2) will get his chance. He’s a litter brother and kennelmate to the promising Fantastic Freddy. CLUB MODEL (7) was only edged out late when 2nd in 24.92 at Goulburn on Sunday and has a turn of speed. The other debutant KISS KISS (6) is bred on staying lines but must be respected.
Debutants MAGIC FLAME (2) and SWEPTAIL (7) take on moderate opposition. By means of drawing close to the inside, Magic Flame goes on top but there’s no ‘science’ behind the choice. Sweptail is in the strong Andy Lord kennel and is a litter brother to recent Blackjackist, a 30.28 maiden winner here this month. LEAPLING (3) is the pick of the others.
Both SUNRISE DANCER (3) and STILL LAUGHING (4) have good zip yet are new here and not tested (at any track) at this distance range. Siding with Sunrise Dancer given she has come from behind to win her past four Richmond 330m outings in smart times. Still Laughing has been going super at Gosford (388m). BLUE TICKET (6) is next but untried at 520m.
ZIPPING PANAMA (4) has always shown staying potential. He’s had an excellent middle distance grounding over the two months and can raced on speed at this longer trip. DYLAN'S MAGIC (3) has three wins to his credit here at this trip. He’s back with Minnie Finn after two SA outings and this class suits. TIMELY FASHION (1) will be running on.
SPECIAL BLEND (8) is unbeaten in two starts from the 8 alley. He was well held yet far from disgraced when 3rd in the G1 Classic here Oct 16. SURPRISE BABY (1) was only collared late when 1 ½ lens 2nd in fast 29.69 here Oct 23. She has high speed but does appreciate room to move. DIAMANTINA ROSE (5) is a 10-time winner here and suited grade-wise.
SHORT TICKET (8) has an excellent record from outside boxes. She scored two starts back (Oct 16) in 30.07 when able to lead from box 6. This class suits and she’s been down to 29.94 here. ZIPPING SAPPORO (3) can mix box manners but is talented and has won here in a very slick 29.61. She’s a live chance. ZIPPING ANTHEA (6) can show a turn of foot.
The speed SHE'S A PEARL (5) showed here Oct 16 when an all-the-way winner in 30.17 stands her in good stead. She’s a reliable beginner and is drawn to get clear air early on. HEART LINES (1) is better than recent form suggests. He's mixed box manners in recent outings yet the rails alley helps. ZIPPING SHERRY (6) is new here yet is well drawn wide
The pace element is PARADISO JEWEL (4) and CHASING MAVIS (8). Paradiso Jewel had been very consistent before striking trouble here Oct 23 and he has the zip to offset his alley. Chasing Mavis was only collared late when ¾ len 2nd in 30.13 on Oct 13. She’s very close to a win here. BRUCE MICK GLENN (3) is better than his local record suggests.
As a winner here in 29.71, the classy FERNANDO'S GLORY (8) should get the job done. She plummets in class after contesting the G1 Opal here Oct 16 and can dominate from the front. CHARLEE'S MISTY (1) was sound at her local debut when 2 ¾ lens 2nd in 29.99 Oct 20 and is improving with racing. MISS RIDDLE (6) impressed in her 30.28 win here Oct 20.
Youngster COCO MODEL (3) has a genuine turn of speed. She’d been very consistent at this track before finishing 9 ¼ lens 4th in 24.56 at Goulburn on Sunday. CATCH ME NERO (7) is a litter brother and kennelmate to the smart Where’s Rocky. He’s first up for 14 weeks yet has won here in 30.11 and must be respected. BOAB (1) is drawn to get her chance.
PRISTINE IMAGE (1) was dominant in 30.22 maiden win at Dapto Oct 7 before being collared late when neck 2nd in 30.31 here Oct 20. He’s improved with every outing and draws to get the breaks. The well related ZIPPING SUPREMO (5) is new here. He’s performed solidly in two outings at Dapto (30.22 win) and at Richmond. PAZIENZA (7) has a turn of speed.
