Form is fleeting, class permanent and that’s why HUDSON ROAD (4) is on top. He’s the winner of 7 races including 3 at WP while four of his rivals have not had more than 7 career starts. This 400m trip suits first up. SLINGSHOT HOOKS (1) has good zip and ideally positioned. He’s won 2 from 3 here incl 22.55. FABULOUS PABLO (3) is an improver.
LAGOON TAUPY (1) and GOING GETS TOUGH (2) met here Oct 19 with Going Gets Tough faring better. He was 1 ½ lens away when 2nd to Butterfly Angel in 19.70 and, despite looking better drawn wide, he goes on top. MAGIC HULK (3) was sound when 2nd here Oct 19 in 22.83 at his debut.while Lagoon Taupy had box 7 last time and is much better positioned now.
Worth a throw at the stumps with PABLO MOUSE (8). She’s been off the scene since mate May when 6th in FFA company here (472m) yet her PB here (22.34) is slick. The handily drawn FIBRILLATION (2) is in career best form. He scored here Oct 19 in 22.59 in top grade. ZIPPING STEWIE (5) was unsuited over 297m at Dapto Sept 23 and has won 10 from 17.
RODEO ETHICS (5) has been freshened since 12 1/4 lengths away when 4th in 29.88 at WP Sept 29. He is much better suited here, can show high speed and did strike trouble last time with 200m to run. MR. WENDAL (1) has posted 3 of 4 career wins here over 400m and has reliable box manners. RAFAEL FEVER (4) mixes box manners but can sneak a place.
A black type quality line-up with a multitude of variables. GOOD ODDS CASH (6) was well held in a Goulburn Cup ht (Oct 17) but is more familiar with this track. She’s won 3 from 5 here incl 25.86. SOUND OF SILENCE (5) is just flying. He’s also won here in quick time and is very strong. INCAPACITATED (1) is ideally drawn and will be revving up late.
A match race here with MY MATE KATE (4) getting the nod ahead of OUTLAW ETHICS (5). My Mate Kate was untroubled when a 6 ½ lens winner in 29.04 here Oct 12 when making her local debut and has the zip to offset her middle alley. Outlaw Ethics ground out a 30.21 win at WP Oct 23 and has won here in good time over 472m. MINI MOSCATO (7) for exotics.
Keen on the prospects of CALAMITY ETHICS (5). She’s a two-time winner here at this trip (best 22.34) and drops in class (and trip) on a game 30.07 win at Dapto Oct 14. PHOENIX RULES (2) had not raced here for just on 9 months before his 19.33 win over 340m Oct 19. He’s a very safe beginner and handles 400m. BONE COLLECTOR (1) can show genuine zip.
The race name “Bulli Battlers” is apt! MISTER EASTWOOD (1) has saluted only once in 23 starts yet can test this lot. He was on speed when badly hampered at the first turn here Oct 5 and gets another chance. SWEET CITY SAL (4) struggled late when 4 ¼ lens 4th in 23.03 here Oct 19 but she has zip and this is easier. Expecting BEN MAJOR (3) to run on.
HIATUS (2) returned to best form with a straight track win at Richmond Oct 11 (17.65). He’s won 5 from 14 incl two here over 400m and can show a very good turn of foot. This suits. BUTTERFLY ANGEL (4) posted steady time (19.70) here over 330m in her debut win Oct 19 after being hampered (from behind) at the first turn. CALLS FOR CALM (7) is next.
In 10 starts from box 7, SIZZLE FLY (7) has posted 5 wins and not missed a place. He’s performed well at Goulburn (strong company) over 350m in recent weeks and has won here in a sizzling 18.91. MAKUTU (3) is new here yet should appreciate the long run home. He’s going well and has won at Richmond in fast time over 330m. SENOR SIOUX (6) is next.
