Tamworth Cup Rescheduled to June

After consultation between Greyhound Racing NSW and the Tamworth Greyhound Club, a decision has been made reschedule the club’s Tamworth Cup carnival, due to the current environment with the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Tamworth Cup carnival was scheduled to begin on Sunday, March 29, with heats of the prestigious event, and culminate with the Cup Final on April 4.

However, like the Golden Easter Egg which was yesterday rescheduled, the decision was made to move the Cup carnival back to June, with heats of the Cup to be run on Sunday, June 14, and the final on Saturday, June 20.

As a result of the Cup Carnival changes, there have been a number of race date changes at Tamworth which are as follows:

The club will not race on Sunday, March 29, Saturday, May 23 or Saturday, May 30.

The club will now race on Saturday, May 8, Saturday, June 13 and Sunday, June 14.
